“Salix matsudana” - Corkscrew Willow
Native to China, this willow species was given its name to honor the Japanese botanist, Sadahisa Matsuda. While we were trimming this one, there was something about being around it that made you feel like a kid again.
Unless dead, damaged or diseased, we only trim Oaks during the cold season while they remain dormant. If you’re lucky enough to have an Oak tree, please consider only trimming in winter. The mighty Oak is worth preserving!
